The story

Lord Noel Sterling was a staple in Bamford town. A cold business man, who could only be seen sunday service, and otherwise kept to himself at Sterling Manor. His fortune contributed generously to the community, until he very suddenly died in november 1843.

The Sterlings love christmas, and invited to a yearly elaborate celebration for the upper class. They also donated food and clothing to many local people for the holidays.

The town has kept going, but Lord Sterling left a lot of unfinished business and loose ends both in business and relationships. Many questions still need answers.

The eldest son would usually inherit the manor and the business, but he isn’t married, and Sterling Sr. has put a claus(e) in his testament that has given the lawyers lots of struggles. His children are inpatiently waiting by the coffers.

Lady Carol Sterling has been in mourning for her husband since then, so there hasn’t been a proper christmas at the manor for two years. No one really knows why she has invited all these poor people now, though. Most have taken it as a great honor, and an opportunity for a luxurious breather in a challenging life. Many also speculated in different agendas: is she picking a protegé who will get an unique opportunity for a future? Will there be scholarships? Her eldest son isn’t married… Is she dying?
