WHAT<\/strong>?: Four days LARP in a real western village<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHEN<\/strong>? around 10-16.august 2027 (has been postponed 1 year)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHERE<\/strong>? Storhornet Saloon<\/a>, Gjevilvassdalen, Oppdal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHO<\/strong>? 35-40 players over the age of 18, incl 2 playing organizers, and 3-4 crew member\/npc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PRICE<\/strong>: 320 euros, all inclusive (a bed at the lodge, three daily meals and drinks)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Most players will sleep in Morgan Lodge, which has compartments with 2 and 2 beds, with curtains).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We want to be able to offer some subsidised ticket. We encourage those who have the opportunity to contribute to this. Every euro helps, the more people who pay more, the more people we can support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The saloon needs staff<\/strong>.
We will also be able to offer a place at half price, to 3-4 people who are willing and able to do practical work during the LARP (serving, washing up and tidying, some npc-ing). These will get characters that enables this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are a few beds in the Sheriffs office and the saloon that will be prioritized for in-game staff and crew)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SIGN UP<\/strong>: Opens January\u20192026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LANGUAGE<\/strong>: The larp will be played in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your place at the LARP must be paid within the given deadline, otherwise it will be passed on.
After this deadline, you will also not be refunded money upon withdrawal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FACILITATION<\/strong>:
The location is not universally designed.
We still want to facilitate for everyone as much as possible.
Be specific about your needs for accommodations, especially around diet, either in the registration form or by email. Most things can be fixed if we\u2019re just told in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WE EXPECT PLAYERS TO:<\/strong>
<\/strong>\u2013 Read information that is made available and familiarize themselves with roles and relationships
\u2013 Respond to inquiries from the organizers within a reasonable time.
\u2013 Meet deadlines for payment and feedback.
\u2013 Show up at the LARP site on time, prepared, with a minimum of costume and the equipment needed.
\u2013 Contribute according to ability with set up and take down. Everyone has to check out before leaving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PHOTOGRAPHY<\/strong>:
There will be designated photographer\/s at the LARP, playing the local journalist.
No one else is allowed to photograph in the game area.
After the larp, pictures will be shared with the players for a ten day flagging period.
After this photos will be shared at Laivgalleriet.
The photographer must be credited when photos are shared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SAFETY AND SECURITY<\/strong>:
Magisk LARP has zero tolerance for harassment, bullying and discrimination against players. Players who display unwanted behavior will lose their place in the LARP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to the LARP, we will conduct mandatory workshops for the use of safety mechanisms, as well as escalation and descalation of conflict, and meta-technique for fighting.
Violence and gun use have certain restrictions (banging prohibited. That\u2019s what she said)
Player safety and welfare always come first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TRIGGERS<\/strong>\/CONTENT
<\/strong>This is a larp for those who want to portray the 1898 mindset and community. We do not want play that attribute our modern mindset to past events. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The larp will have play on prejudice, harassment and discrimination based on gender, nationality, social status and marital status. This is important in order for the character gallery to get the dynamic we want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There might be violence and sexually explicit behaviour (but no sexual violence). We will practice meta-techniques for sexual acts and violence on location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will never be forced into play you\u2019re not comfortable with, and you will always have the option to leave scenes you\u2019re uncomfortable with. However, one must be aware that these themes are part of the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those who want to play saloon girls will go through an extra round of casting, to make sure they are prepared for the play we want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The larp will have traditional gender roles, and everyone plays either female or male. However, you can choose which gender you want to play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abIs this Wet Whistle 2\u00bb \u2013<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No, it\u2019s more like Wet Whistle 2.0. The setting is the same, but we will use our experiences from Wet Whistle and make some adjustments. We will reuse the framwork for some characters, and add a bunch of new ones to make a more intricate relational map, and amp up the drama on all fronts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
